Soon to be liquidated Irish companies owe their short term creditors almost E1.4m

13 Irish companies are scheduled to hold a Meeting of Creditors (MOC) to appoint a liquidator this week (between the 19th and 23rd January 2015) - an average of just over two meetings per day. This will be for the purpose of winding-up the companies.

These 13 companies owe their short term creditors a combined total of almost E1.4m.

54% of these companies are based in either Dublin or Kildare (31% and 23% respectively) with a further 15% in Limerick.

The industries most affected by this week's MOCs are professional services and wholesale & retail which accounted for three meetings each.

Hospitality and manufacturing add a further two meetings apiece, with one company in the health & social services, IT and transport & logistics sectors also being affected.
